With the official first day of Spring tomorrow, GQ recently released its Spring 2012 Trend Report for all of you salivating fashion heads. Here are some of my personal favorites:

The Knit Pick:

I’m really feeling the knitted striped tie this season. These ties are much thinner than the standard ones and produce a much less bulky knot at the neck (relieving you of the boardroom feel.) I’m a fiend for a nice jacket and sports coat, so this will be the perfect accessory to my closet this summer. A definite must have for my Spring work attire.

Suits That Shines:

Typically, I’m against anything “glossy.” There’s something about an outfit having sheen that screams cheap to me. Surprisingly, Gucci and a few other designers this Spring, have swayed my opinion and the next time you see this suit (in this exact color!) will probably be on me, minus the giant man bag of course. I’m thinking a suit like this will probably look perfect on a chocolate brutha like myself, paired with nice set of Aviators and a sunny forecast.

The White Pants:

Those of you know me should know that I despite ANYTHING white. Sneakers, belts, jackets, watch bands, dress shoes, you name it, I hate it in white. BUUUTTT, I will definitely be hopping on the white pants trend this season, particularly on the beach (yes. The beach in Spring, I’m a Florida boy.) Springs in Florida are ridiculously hot, so I’m grateful the fashion gods saw fit for something a little lighter (both to wear and look at) for the season. *Cues sand with white sand & umbrella drinks*

Killer Khaki:

I’m already a big khaki fan. I’ll definitely be rocking various colors this Spring.

Biker Boys:

I can still vividly remember purchasing my leather biker vest from Urban Thread 2 months ago and thinking it would be perfect for the Spring. Typically, when one thinks leather, Fall and Winter come to mind. Thank you, GQ for confirming that it’s Spring worthy.
